Since they lack a cogent argument in their defense, many pro-abortion feminists simply deny that unborn human babies are actually human in their desperate attempts to justify this horrific and gruesome practice, which they claim is a “woman’s right.” But a feminist author by the name of Sophie Lewis is taking a much different approach by openly admitting that abortion is murder, but still insisting that it’s perfectly justifiable and worth defending.
During a recent interview, Lewis described the attempts in some states to place more restrictions on abortion as a “terrifying attack on abortion,” adding that she doesn’t believe pro-abortionists should continue denying biological reality. Instead, Lewis believes that leftists need to own the fact that abortion is murder and simply embrace it.
“We tend to say that abortion is ‘indeed very bad, but…,” or we say, ‘luckily it’s not killing, luckily it’s just a health care right,'” Lewis contends about what she sees as a failed approach to defending abortion. “We have very little to lose at the moment when it comes to abortion, and I’m interested in winning radically.”

Lewis also wants to take things another step further by encouraging her fellow death-lovers to start thinking about abortion as a permissible solution for pregnant women who don’t want to endure the “violence” associated with having to carry an unborn baby to term.
“I wonder if we could think about defending abortion as a right to stop doing gestational work,” Lewis callously mulled out loud to her interviewer.
“Abortion is, in my opinion – and I recognize how controversial this is – a form of killing. It is a form of killing that we need to be able to defend. I am not interested in where a human life starts to exist.”
According to Lewis, making babies, as well as “unmaking” them, are “continuous process” that incorporate what it means to be human. In her view, it’s all part of the normal life cycle, which involves “learning how to die well and hold each other and let each other go at the end of our lives, as well as at the beginning.”
Though she’s not exactly the type of person who looks as though she even has to worry about getting pregnant in the first place, Lewis repeatedly during her interview likened the gestational process to “violence” against women, specifically dubbing it as “unacceptable violence for someone who doesn’t want to do gestational work.”
“The violence that that gestator (the woman who doesn’t want to carry her unborn baby to full term) metes out to essentially go on strike or exit that workplace is an acceptable violence,” Lewis insists.
Naturally, Lewis made no mention about how the fathers of unborn children feels about the situation. That’s because, to feminists like Lewis, fathers have no rights or say when it comes to protecting unborn life, even though they help created it.
Lewis is also, as you might expect, rabidly anti-capitalist and anti-family. In one of her books, Lewis advocates for the total abolition of the family, which she believes will lead to “a radical reconceptualization of pregnancy itself.”
“Why can’t women who don’t want to be mothers just not be mothers, and leave mothering to people who do want to be mothers,” asked on commenter at The Nation, pointing out the fact that women always have the right to simply not get pregnant in the first place.
